If you do anything at all – Stretch. Stretching will keep your joints, muscles, and bones working right. It is essential to stretch before you workout in any way whether it’s running, playing any kind of sport, aerobics, or any other physical activity. This is a good introductory stretching routine that will have you limber and ready to workout or play with the best of them.

Stretching before lifting weights is NOT recommended as it destablizes the muscles. Numerous studies back this. I question the validity of your post.
Thanks for your input. I will be revamping the website with more valid data (this post/video was a long time ago and I have learned a lot of new things since) – meaning that I will have research attached. I agree and disagree though. Some type of warming up targeting the body parts that you are working out and movements mimicking the exercises you are going to do, does help avoid injury and perform better. For example, doing some lunges and some knee ups and butt kicks before a run. Too much stretching can reduce performance during your exercises or workout. The cool down stretch is very important (targeting the areas you just worked out). I will be doing a lot more research and posting links, research, and results I have attained in future posts.
